We started off with 1 coach and 1 bag of balls back in 2012 fast forward to 2023 and we are currently working with 150+ partners across the northeast delivering high quality sports sessions in the education and grassroots sector.
All Stars Sport was founded by Rhys Clarke and Joe Brown who both have a back ground in professional rugby league. Our award-winning coaches have a passion for delivering fast paced, engaging sessions developing fundamental
skills.
We work with a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools during the academic year offering breakfast, lunch and afterschool clubs to run alongside our curriculum and PPA cover.
ALL COACHES have enhanced DBS checks, first aid, Safeguarding and protecting children and the relevant NGB coaching badges.
HOLIDAY CLUBs
Our holiday club provision is growing at a rapid rate as we offer multi-sport holiday clubs in various locations around the northeast.
On top of our private holiday clubs, we work closely with local authorities to deliver HAF holiday clubs offering FREE places to children who receive free school meals and support families who are struggling due to the cost of living.
On top of our school delivery and holiday club provision, we work with several commercial partners to improve and expand our offerings into a new space.

Meet the Team
Rhys Clarke
COMPANY DIRECTOR - PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
Rhys is All Stars Sports partnership manager and oversees the whole company growth and working relationships with schools, local authorities, and commercial partners. Over the last 12 years we have seen huge expansion in our projects and now deliver more sports to more schools than ever before.
Rhys has a background in professional and semi-professional rugby league playing for the likes of Gateshead/Newcastle Thunder, York City Knights, Whitehaven RLFC and Workington Town RLFC in the Championship and League 1 competitions over a 15-year playing career. Alongside his playing commitments Rhys has been working towards making All Stars Sport a leading provider in sports coaching to the grassroots and the education sector. Rhys has 15 years’ experience in sports coaching and developing working as Sky Try lead coach and Manager of the Sport England women and girls project on behalf of Newcastle rugby foundation. Most recently Rhys has worked with Newcastle Thunder as head coach to the reserve team set up seeing several players moving into the first team to make their senior debut.
JOE BROWN
COMPANY DIRECTOR - INCLUSION & MENTORING LEAD
Joe is our Inclusion and mentoring lead working with hard-to-reach children and given them the advice and support they need. On top of this joe works as the company’s project co-ordinator and oversees the yearly plan of day-to-day delivery.
Joe Brown is a recently retired professional and semi-professional rugby league playing for Gateshead/Newcastle Thunder, Workington Town and had a spell playing in Australia. Joe is also a Jamaican international and recently played at the 2022 world cup. Again, Joe has worked in several roles within sports coaching and mentoring young people working as Hitz project manager and is currently heading up our mentoring and behaviour management contract at Excelsior school. In 2023 Joe was the head coach of the Newcastle Thunder scholarship programme working with some of the regions most talented young players.
